Popular motorcycle road racer and lorry mechanic Guy Martin has concluded a week of testing at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah, America, with the Triumph Infor Rocket Streamliner.

The Lincolnshire rider and the British motorcycle manufacturer are attempting to break the motorcycle land speed and possibly achieve a speed of 400mph with the twin Triumph III Rocket-engined missile.

With testing going off without a hitch, Martin and Triumph head into the actual record attempt at the end of the month having already smashed the record for the fastest ever Triumph. Martin was clocked at going 274.2mph, unofficially going almost 30mph quicker than the current record set by Bob Leppan in the Gyronaut X-1.
